Against President Obama's plan to end subsidies to lenders for Student Loans? Then READ THIS STORY!
It's a shame. The article mentions 'decades ago'. So this could have been happening while I was signing my documents for a student loan and had no clue that I would be scammed by this 20+ years later. I finally find out who the company was that gave me my loan and I don't even know if this company still exist. (Not mentioned in today's listing of lenders). Something needs to be done I am tired of my hard earn money, my federal tax return, being garnished. Not receiving that tax return kills all perspective in having a hopeful future. It's bad enough with the economy the way it is now. I have been laid off since February 2009. The job situation in my state is getting worse. Unemployment rate has slowed but still increasing. My state is even running out of money; something I have been reading in the news.
I will say it, there's a lack of compassion and a blind eye when it comes to the 'almighty dollar' craving.
That's exciting but not surprising.
Maybe these kind of stories are needed to get the message through to all Americans that the student loan system is not really set up to help student loan borrowers succeed but rather to make some connected people even wealthier than they already are.
Good God - when will this trip into Oz end?

As the global economy stumble so does the many college students are struggling for their educational finances, some run after for student loans. However they can't survive by just relying on that financial assistance.Government has to do something for it. Employment statistics are so much more important now, as that's the key to signs of recovery. Analysts are eagerly awaiting Department of Labor reports, but other sources, such as the Institute of Supply Management, have been confirming that slow signs of recovery are happening. For instance, the service sector, 80% of non agriculture jobs, has been showing slight growth and fewer job losses – especially from the holiday season – and the manufacturing sector and financial services sector have also shown slight improvements. It doesn't mean less people need payday loans or jobs to begin with, but it is a start.
